Leave a Nest Malaysia and the West Java Provincial Government Strengthen Commitment to Developing West Java’s Innovation Ecosystem
Bandung, Indonesia, 25 July 2026 – Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (LVNSMY) and the West Java Provincial Government, Republic of Indonesia, officially signed and exchanged a Record of Discussion (RoD) on 25 July 2026 during TECH PLANTER Indonesia 2026. The RoD marks an important milestone in strengthening collaboration between both parties to support startup development, innovation programmes, and ecosystem building in West Java.
The Record of Discussion was signed by Mr. Nur Ahmad Zaim Hussin, Director of Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., and Dr. H. Dedi Taufik, M.Si., Head of the Investment and One Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) of West Java Province. The signing reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to accelerate science and technology based entrepreneurship while strengthening West Java’s innovation ecosystem.

The collaboration builds upon a series of discussions between Leave a Nest Malaysia and DPMPTSP West Java regarding opportunities to develop stronger support for startups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through innovation programmes, business matching, and strategic partnerships. As the formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) requires further administrative approval, both parties agreed to document their mutual understanding through the Record of Discussion as an interim framework for future collaboration.
Under the RoD, both organizations intend to collaborate on startup and SME ecosystem development, innovation programmes, business matching initiatives, startup incubation, and cross-border collaboration. The partnership also recognizes the important role of the West Java Investment Hub (WJIH) as the venue and ecosystem partner for TECH PLANTER Indonesia 2026, while reaffirming both parties’ commitment to supporting future innovation activities that connect startups, industry, investors, academia, and government.
Speaking on the collaboration, Mr. Nur Ahmad Zaim Hussin, Director of Leave a Nest Malaysia, said:

Looking ahead, Leave a Nest Malaysia and the West Java Provincial Government will continue discussions toward the implementation of collaborative programmes and the future execution of a formal Memorandum of Understanding, subject to the necessary administrative approvals. Through this partnership, both organizations aim to strengthen West Java’s position as a leading innovation hub while creating greater opportunities for startups and researchers to expand their impact across Southeast Asia.
