Add Venture Forum (AVF) Singapore October 2025 Recap

The Add Venture Forum (AVF) Singapore 2025 successfully connected students and startups, inspiring the next generation of innovators. Held on October 7, 2025, at SGInnovate, the event brought together 14 students from diverse academic backgrounds—including undergraduate, master’s, and PhD programs—representing leading institutions such as the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Four deep-tech startups, ugo Robotics, Griffin Labs, Atlas Robotics, and Fabrica AI, actively participated, alongside Leave a Nest, which also hosted a booth.

Exploring New Frontiers in Robotics and Automation

The event opened with welcoming remarks, emphasising this AVF's message:

“More than a career—an opportunity to shape the frontier.”

This year marked the first themed AVF Singapore, dedicated to Robotics and Automation. Students and startups passionate about these fields were specially invited to join. Following the opening, the four participating startups took the stage to present their businesses, sharing insights into their missions, technologies, and aspirations to drive innovation in the sector.

Industry Advice and Inspiration

A key highlight of this year’s AVF was the Industry Advice Sharing session—a panel discussion featuring Mr. Hadrien Roy (Global Partnership Manager, ugo Robotics) and Mr. Raphael Yee (Director, Griffin Labs).

The panelists discussed their unique career paths and shared valuable perspectives on the Robotics and Automation industry. They encouraged students to consider the skills, mindsets, and values needed to thrive in this rapidly evolving field, sparking inspiration and curiosity among the audience.

Meaningful Dialogue Between Students and Startups

Following the panel, students participated in four structured booth sessions, engaging directly with startup representatives in open and authentic conversations. Many students shared heartfelt questions, driven by genuine curiosity and enthusiasm. The focused Robotics and Automation theme enhanced the relevance of each interaction, creating strong alignment between the participants’ academic backgrounds and the startups’ expertise.

Empowering Future Innovators

The event concluded with closing remarks that reiterated AVF’s mission: to help students align their skills, interests, and passions with meaningful career paths. A lively networking session followed, providing a space for continued dialogue and relationship-building between students and startups.

With the success of this edition, AVF Singapore continues to nurture a community where curiosity meets opportunity, empowering the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs in Singapore and beyond.
