TECH PLAN Demo Day in Malaysia 2025 Crowns NanoSkunkWorkX as Grand Champion

On 31st May 2025, Leave a Nest Malaysia proudly hosted the TECH PLAN Demo Day in Malaysia 2025 at the Center of Garage Malaysia, Cyberjaya, spotlighting some of the nation’s most promising deep tech innovators. This flagship event brought together nine outstanding finalists, selected from over 80 nationwide applications, each presenting game-changing technologies and impactful solutions.

Finalists and Lightning Talk Teams Shine
The nine finalist teams—TEASK, Rebooz Technology, QuantumGel Group, Mensilin Green Energy, NanoSkunkWorkX, MiniGen Group, Pacton Technologies, Stream Capital, and Lestagro—pitched their solutions before an esteemed panel of judges representing organizations such as Leave a Nest Malaysia, FSBM Holdings, SDEC, Impact Circle, ELSA Energy, JT, UntroD Capital Asia, Ajinomoto Malaysia, and Euglena Malaysia.
In addition, six lightning talk teams—Derialah, Solnovation Analytics, Jutjel, OINC, TwinCrab Solutions, and Tanalink—delivered fast-paced yet inspiring presentations. These teams were specially selected by our TECH PLANTER Malaysia 2025 partners for their bold ideas and high potential.
The event also featured presentations from five key supporters—FSBM Holdings, SDEC, UntroD Capital Asia, TEGAS Digital Village, and SIDEC—underscoring the power of cross-sector collaboration in shaping Malaysia’s innovation landscape. Attendees explored 13 exhibition booths showcasing technologies from both TECH PLANTER teams and our valued partners.

🏆 Grand Winner Award

Theme: SUSANNE – A graphene nanofabrication platform enabling ultra-efficient AI compute, low-cost green hydrogen, and rapid biosensing
Reason for awarding: A truly Malaysian innovation by a NASA scientist, the SUSANNE platform spans energy, computing, and diagnostics—embodying TECH PLANTER’s vision of solving global challenges.
NanoSkunkWorkX crowned Grand Winner, proudly standing alongside all judges.

Prize: Invitation to TECH PLANTER Asia Final 2025
Theme: Reversing global warming impact & commercialization of berry plants via temporary immersion bioreactor
Reason for awarding: Demonstrates grassroots innovation with applications in food security—relevant not just to Malaysia but globally.
Lestagro recognised with Leave a Nest Award for outstanding contribution.
🏅 Ajinomoto Malaysia Berhad Award

Prize: RM4,000
Theme: Reversing global warming impact & commercialization of berry plants via temporary immersion bioreactor
Reason for awarding: Innovative application of amino acids in crop production aligns well with Ajinomoto’s broader mission.
🏅 Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) Award
Team: Lestagro
Prize: RM4,000
Theme: Reversing global warming impact & commercialization of berry plants via temporary immersion bioreactor
Reason for awarding: Strong potential for collaboration in food security efforts in Sarawak.
Lestagro was awarded both the Ajinomoto and SDEC Awards, presented by representatives from Ajinomoto (Malaysia) and SDEC.

Theme: IoT Culture Growth Inoculation for Microalgae
Reason for awarding: High potential for future collaboration with JT.
Showcasing innovation from the university, MiniGen Group received the JT Award.
🏅 UntroD Capital Asia Award
Team: Tenaga Alam Sekitar Kita (M) Sdn Bhd
Prize: RM4,000
Theme: TEASK Station 3
Reason for awarding: Passionate presentation and the South East Asia region has remote areas with natural disasters that need portable things that can be used to help during natural disasters.

Team: Pacton Technologies
Prize: RM4,000
Theme: FishSpeak – AI-driven aquaculture management system
Reason: Strong direction in data analytics with future support potential.
🏅 Euglena Award
Team: Pacton Technologies
Prize: RM4,000
Theme: FishSpeak – AI-driven aquaculture management system
Reason: Technology solves sensor corrosion issues in pH monitoring—highly applicable to agritech and aquaculture.
Pacton Technologies, alongside representatives from FSBM Holdings and Euglena (Malaysia) was honored with the FSBM and Euglena Awards respectively.
