TECH PLANTER Asia Final 2026 Set to Showcase Asia’s Top Deep Tech Innovators
The countdown is on! TECH PLANTER Asia Final 2026 will take place on 27 August 2026 at Hive 5, MRANTI Innovation Park, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, bringing together the region’s most promising deep tech startups and research teams for a day of innovation, collaboration, and cross border partnerships.
This year’s Asia Final features 14 outstanding teams from Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Each team has earned its place by becoming either the Grand Winner or a Leave a Nest Award recipient at their respective national TECH PLANTER programmes. They will now compete on the regional stage to present breakthrough technologies addressing challenges in food, healthcare, sustainability, energy, advanced materials, digitalization, and intelligent infrastructure.
More than a startup competition, TECH PLANTER Asia Final serves as a regional platform connecting researchers, entrepreneurs, corporates, investors, manufacturers, and government agencies. Through technology presentations and networking opportunities, the programme aims to accelerate technology commercialization and foster collaborations that create meaningful societal impact.

More Than a Competition
Alongside the finalist presentations, attendees will hear from our partners through presentations by Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad (SDEC), KOBASHI HOLDINGS Co., Ltd., Taisei Corporation, and UntroD Inc., as well as video messages from MRANTI, JT Inc., and TERAL Inc. These sessions will provide valuable insights into innovation, manufacturing, investment, and cross border collaboration within Asia’s deep tech ecosystem.
At the end of the day, one team will be crowned the TECH PLANTER Asia Final 2026 Grand Winner, selected by an esteemed panel of judges representing leading companies, venture capital firms, research institutions, and government agencies from Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore.
