Ronezza “Ezza” Delos Santos was born and raised in Baguio City, the Summer Capital of the Philippines. She graduated from the Philippine Science High School – Cordillera Administrative Region Campus (PSHS-CAR) as part of the pioneer batch. She then entered the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) and graduated with a degree (BS) in Chemical Engineering. After earning her professional license, she worked at Baguio Water District, a Government-Owned and Controlled Corporation that provides potable water throughout Baguio City and some parts of the Benguet Province. After taking an internship for Leave a Nest’s Tech Planter PH, she took the challenge to be one of the pioneer members of Leave a Nest’s Philippine subsidiary to help and promote science and technology for advancing the country. She became one of the Directors of Leave a Nest Philippines in March 2023, and became the Representative/Managing Director from December 2025, and is also taking her Masters in Environment and Natural Resources Management.

PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences
Yev was born and raised in Iloilo City, Philippines. He graduated with a degree in BS Chemistry from the University of the Philippines Visayas, after which he worked as an instructor at the University of the Philippines Manila. In 2013, he came to Japan and until 2018, acquired his Masters in Health Life Sciences and his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences through the HIGO Program of Kumamoto University. After graduating, he worked at a business consultancy company in Tokyo to support biotechnology and medical companies from abroad into Japan, and was also a Balik Scientist Awardee in 2021. In 2020, he joined Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. and co-founded Leave a Nest Philippines on March 2021, serving as the Managing Director from establishment until November 2025, and is currently a Director for the Philippine office, while challenging to provide more value to the whole Leave a Nest Group.

BS in Physical Therapy
Ronrick “Onic” Arayata is a citizen of the Republic of the Philippines living in the city of Tanza, province of Cavite. He graduated BS Physical Therapy at the University of the Philippines Manila in 2017 and passed the board exam in 2018, earning his license to work. Since then, he has worked in Cavite Diagnostic Stroke Care Center for three years treating mainly patients with stroke but was also able to handle various musculoskeletal and neurologic cases. He joined Leave a Nest as an intern in April 2021 to mentor TECH PLANTER finalists and decided to join the company right after, and became a Director since March 2025.

Bachelor of Bioresource Science
Bryan Angelo Foronda is from the south of Philippines’ Luzon Island, specifically from Pili, Camarines Sur. He attended Philippine Science High School – Bicol Region Campus (PSHS-BRC) for his secondary studies. From that time, he pursued tertiary education in science as a BS Geology student at the University of the Philippines-Diliman in 2015. However, in 2017, he got accepted to study in Japan under a full Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship. Through which, he graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Bioresource Science from University of Tsukuba in 2021 with involvements with several student-led international exchange and environment-related initiatives. Post-graduation, he did an internship for Leave A Nest Philippines’ Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference 2021 and eventually applied to become a full-time employee and advocate for Leave A Nest’s mission and vision to improve science and technology ecosystem in every place possible. From March 2025, he also is serving as one of the full time local Directors alongside Ezza and Onic.

Dr. Ueno
PhD in Biology
Dr. Yuko Ueno received her Ph.D in Ocean microbiology-biochemistry and joined Leave a Nest in 2013. She has experience in human resource development especially in entrepreneur education, and frontier business development with MNC. While utilizing her own research experience, she discovers and nurtures deep tech startups in the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines where the Leave a Nest Group is based, and at the same time designs new businesses for Japanese companies in collaboration with the startups. She also has experience in accelerating Japanese deep tech startups enter the Southeast Asian market and Southeast Asian startups to enter the Japanese market.

Jewel
BA in Communication Research
Jewel finished her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Research at Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 2023. With her training in research through her years in College, she gained interest in various fields and societal issues such as media, technology, education and the minority groups. Her background is mostly in marketing and media studies but she has been exposed to different information and technology issues through her organizations. She joined Leave a Nest as she has been passionate in bridging the gap among those in need through science and technology.

Cess
Bachelor of Science Major in Psychology
Princess “Cess” Calinog was born in San Pedro City Laguna and raised in Quezon City with a degree of Bachelor of Science major in Psychology from Far Eastern University. A goal-driven individual who has administrative assistant experience and has a great satisfaction in providing support and ensure smooth operation within the company. Her background is mostly administrative assistant in human resources the past years she developed written and verbal communication skills. She joined Leave a Nest Philippines January 2024, she was really impressed with their work in advancing science and technology.

Neil
BS in Computer Science
Neil Clarence C. Diaz, born and raised in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat, completed his senior high school at Mindanao State University – General Santos City and earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, specializing in Artificial Intelligence, from West Visayas State University in Iloilo City. Passionate about science, innovation, and technology, he is committed to creating a positive impact on society. During his time in college, Neil co-founded and served as the pioneer CEO/President of SPARK Hub, a student organization that empowers students to transform their ideas into innovative solutions for societal benefit. He is also dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding Artificial Intelligence as he develops AI-driven solutions that address community challenges. Now, as a member of Leave a Nest, Neil continues to extend his advocacy for science and technology from the university to the global stage.

BS in Chemistry with Materials Science and Engineering
Josemaria R. Sison, “Sema”, was born and raised in Quezon City, Metro Manila. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 2023 and a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2024 from the Ateneo de Manila University. Driven by a strong commitment to service, he applies his knowledge and skills to support the advancement of science and technology. Currently, he works at Leave a Nest Philippines, where he contributes to manufacturing knowledge and fostering innovation in the field.

Jomer
BS in Biology (Microbiology Track)
Jomer is an emerging microbiologist from Iloilo City specializing in environmental biology and microbial ecology, with strong interests in public health, infectious disease response, and sustainable biotechnology. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Biology (Microbiology Track) from West Visayas State University. As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Allerkit, a biomedical startup incubated under BINHI TBI, he is leading the ideation and early-stage development of an innovative allergy diagnostic solution, focusing on problem validation, research design, and strategic positioning. His experience spans laboratory research, antimicrobial screening, molecular techniques, academic mentoring, and science communication. He has held leadership roles in student publications and science organizations, directing interdisciplinary teams and organizing large-scale academic initiatives. Driven by a mission to translate microbiological research into tangible societal impact, he works at the intersection of research, innovation development, and community-centered health and biotechnology solutions.

Samantha S. Gabrillo (Sam) completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Financial Management, at the University of Saint Anthony in Camarines Sur. She has experience in handling general administrative and accounting functions, including organizing and maintaining records, managing documentation, and ensuring that tasks are completed within established deadlines. She also has accounting experience that plays a vital role in Leave a Nest Philippines. With her attention to detail and organizational skills, she believes she can be a valuable asset to LVNS by sharing and applying her experience in administrative and accounting work to support the company’s operational efficiency and maintain a smooth financial workflow.

Alliyah Romaine Delin, born and raised in Caloocan City, is a double-degree holder in Chemistry and Materials Science and Engineering as a Cum Laude graduate of Ateneo de Manila University. She has taken up diverse leadership roles in student councils and organizations, both scientific and non-scientific. Being a scholar and a student-teacher early on in life, she recognizes the importance of piquing the curiosity of children and nurturing their commitment to education. Her passion lies in exploring green solutions, communicating science as a daily experience, and even bridging S&T to the humanities such as philosophy and psychology. As such, joining Leave a Nest is a way for her to work towards her mission of empowering the minds of next-generation scientists with a heart for nature and humanity.

Krizia Lianne P. Quiña, “Lianne”, was born and raised in Tacloban City, Leyte. She graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Biology, majoring in Medical Biology, from De La Salle University – Manila in 2026. Her academic journey throughout university cultivated a passion for life sciences and research. This inspired her curiosity to explore innovations and solutions that target real-world challenges. As her interests expanded beyond the laboratory, she also developed a keen appreciation for the role of business, entrepreneurship, and collaboration in transforming scientific findings into greater societal impact. By joining Leave a Nest Philippines, she hopes to contribute to building meaningful connections among researchers, startups, industry, and communities.
