Advance Materials for Environment team won the Grand Winner award of TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in VIETNAM 2019
This is the 2nd year Leave a Nest conducted TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in VIETNAM on 1st June 2019 at Saigon Innovation Hub, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
9 finalists were chosen out of 22 applications to showcase their core technology, business model and issues that they want to solve in front of the caliber judges from Leave a Nest, Mitsui Chemical Singapore R&D Centre Pte. Ltd., Delightex Pte. Ltd., Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Sun* Startup Studio Vietnam, Focustech Ventures, Saigon Innovation Hub and Circo. The finalists were from various backgrounds such as Agri Tech, Bio Tech and Deep Tech.
Invited speaker Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Thanh from the Advance Water Treatment Technology team was the grand winner of TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in VIETNAM 2018 shared about his experience and journey on Tech Planter program. He gave an energetic presentation together with encouragement words to the finalists this year.
We introduced various awards from our partners. Team Advance Materials for Environment that working on sustainable method to obtain silica from rice husk won Grand Winner prize. The winner received JPY 300,000 cash prize, return airfares and accommodation for 2 team members to join TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in SINGAPORE 2019 in the final regional round. Winner from Singapore round will be invited to join meeting in Tokyo Japan in March 2020.
