BIERGO Crowned as the Grand Winner of TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in INDONESIA 2021

On  29th May 2021, Leave a Nest had conducted the TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in INDONESIA 2021 Via Online platform. Even in this pandemic time, we continue to explore and support deep technologies that can solve deep issues around the world.

This year, 9 finalists and 3 lightning talk speakers were chosen from 40 applications to pitch their core technology, business model and issues that they want to solve in front of a panel of judges from Leave a Nest, Mitsui Chemical Singapore R&D Pte. Ltd, Rohto Pharmaceutical Pte. Ltd, Real-Tech Holding, UMG Idealab, AIBI Network, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), BLOCK 71 Indonesia and S. ASEAN International Advocacy & Consultancy (SAIAC). The finalists and lightning talk were from various backgrounds such as Agri Tech, Eco Tech, Deep Tech, Food Tech, Care Tech and Med Tech.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to judges who have joined us this year for their feedback, interactions and enthusiasm, all of which have made the event a huge success. We also thank those who have given time to watch the event real-time via our internal broadcasting system.

This year, we introduced various awards from our partners. Biergo, a local startup that solves deep issues of bone fracture treatment using gypsum cast was crowned as the Grand Winner. The team developed a compact castform cast that had been designed based on human anthropometric numbers and made from medical grade plastic. Compared to gypsum cast, this cast is easy to install, flexible, lighter and waterproof.

Rohto Award & Leave A Nest Award:   Winner: Amalose Indonesia Theme: Fermented honey beverage (Amalose) to reduce postprandial blood glucose Content: SGD$2,500 and Invitation to present at TECH PLANTER Asia Final in Singapore 2021
UMG Idealab Award & LIPI Award:   Winner: Greenie Indonesia Theme: Sustainable Tableware and Furniture from Agricultural Waste or Non-Timber Forest Product Content: IDR$20,000,000 and Research infrastructure support, assistance and access to research mentors (LIPI Researchers)
