Khalid Khalil
Graduated with a Master’s degree in Aquaculture (fish nutrition) and a Bachelor’s degree in Resource Biotechnology from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, he focuses on sustainable resource management and environmental well-being. His research addresses rising fish feed costs and environmental pollution in Sarawak, exploring agro-wastes like sago and soybean by-products as alternative fish feed ingredients to reduce costs and repurpose waste. He transitioned into the business sector—working in industrial cleaning products and food manufacturing—equipped him with business acumen, complementing his scientific expertise. Now part of the Frontier Development team at Leave a Nest Malaysia, he aims to foster collaborations between startups and industry players, drive sustainable solutions, and support small businesses, particularly in addressing Malaysia's environmental challenges. He aspires to establish a social enterprise in his hometown, blending science, technology, and community development.
