Wakako Tajima
Hi, I am Wakako Tajima. Born in Shizuoka and raised in Tokyo. My research background is biochemistry in undergraduate and molecular biology in graduate program. After graduating university, started working in trading firm in Japan as a system administrator. In 2014, I made a big career change. As I always wanted to contribute to science education in developing countries, I moved to Pacific island Samoa to teach science and math. After 2 years of teaching in Samoa, I joined Leave a Nest to realize advancing science and technology for global happiness. Especially I would like to work with people in developing countries. Currently I am mainly working on the project in the Philippines, such as seed-acceleration program called TECH PLANTER connecting start ups in the Philippines with large corporates to support their business development.
