Who I am
I am Banani Biswas from Bangladesh. I have completed my Ph.D. from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology and my research title is, ‘Political Economic Study on Tannery Industry Development and Subsequent Effect on River Pollution in Bangladesh.’
We are six in my family. My father is a retired government service holder and my mother is a housewife. I have three siblings. Now I am living in Japan with my husband. He is working as a system engineer in a foreign company.
About my achievements, during my Ph.D., I got ‘Grant for International Collaborative Research (国際共同調査研究助成金),’ from Yuasa International Foundation. I also got Bangladesh government’s scholarships during my university, college and school life. My strengths are self motivated, dedicated towards work, a good team player as well as have a good ability to lead the team. I like to take challenges and I am also a good listener and quick learner.
Now coming to my hobbies, I like gardening. I have a nice flower garden in my roof balcony and when I get up in the morning and look at lots of different colored roses smiling at me, I feel, I am in the heaven! Another my passion is singing and I got lots of awards in musical contests in my country.
