17 companies were selected! Accelerating business expansion to ASEAN through Leave a Nest’s support

Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. was selected by a government agency AEM-METI Economic and Industrial Cooperation Committee (AMEICC) to promote “A project supporting overseas expansion through collaboration between Japanese startups and ASEAN local organizations”, then to have selected 17 startup companies to support!

This project received 51 applications from June 3 to July 3, 2024, who are motivated to solve social issues and create local business in the ASEAN region. Interviews were conducted with 24 companies after screening by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, AMEICC, AOTS, and Leave a Nest, and evaluation by an external examination body by Mizuho Bank, Ltd., HIROGIN GLOBAL CONSULTING PTE. LTD., and Japan Finance Corporation. In the end, the following 17 companies were selected for support.

From now on, during the seven-month period from August 2024 to February 2025, Leave a Nest's communicators will provide hands-on support and provide information on local issues and needs, while providing support to various ASEAN organizations (major companies such as conglomerates, government officials, startups, etc.). We provide support tailored to the business stage and industry through individual interviews with companies, incubators/accelerators, academic researchers, etc.

Additionally, on December 10, 2024, we are planning to hold the GLOBAL Bridge Conference, which will also introduce case studies that have led to results through this project.

■About future support details
During the above-mentioned hands-on period, we will hold meet-up events and academic conferences with local organizations where we can expect new local business collaborations on the following dates. By participating in these events and academic conferences, the selected companies will be able to verify their business hypotheses and flesh out their plans while having discussions with accompanying staff from Leave a Nest, Leave a Nest Singapore, and Leave a Nest Malaysia.
