Leave a Nest Malaysia will organize its first SCIENCE CASTLE in Malaysia this coming school holiday! We are inviting secondary school teachers and students to join the conference on 17th & 18th March 2018 at Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia.

SCIENCE CASTLE is a special conference to create an ecosystem and incubate youth entrepreneurs based on science and technology and to generate opportunities for youths in Malaysia to learn how innovative knowledge and sustainable solution can change the society in the local area. We have received 100 registrations from secondary school students in Malaysia & Singapore for this inaugural conference. Seats are limited. So hurry and SIGN UP HERE!

Ms. Nami Akinaga

President, Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd

Graduated from University of Tokyo with a bachelor degree in Physics and master degree in Sustainability Science. Her mission is “Maximizing the Value of Diversity”. In Leave a Nest, she mainly in charge of creating platform for the next generation leaders to generate knowledge beyond field, country and cultural borders. Previously she joined World Conference on ESD in 2014, ASEAN YOUNG LEADERS SUMMIT in 2015 as a Japanese delegate.

Dr. Shuichiro Takahashi

Representative Director COO, Leave a Nest Co., Ltd.

Leave a Nest Co., Ltd is a leading science communication company in Japan, working on extensive projects relating to Science and Technology. Dr. Shuichiro Takahashi received Ph.D. in Life Science at the University of Tokyo and has been committing to the expansion of Leave a Nest since its establishment. He is known for a pioneer in incubation of young researchers with collaboration with private sectors. In order to accelerate the innovation in R&D, he has been creating many open innovation platforms with industry, academia and schools.

Mr. Gaku Nagashima

Concept Director, International School of Science Japan Founding Project (ISSJ)
B.S. in Physics from SUNY Stony Brook.

M.S. in Applied Physics from Harvard University

While researching at Harvard University as a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Physics, Gaku began practicing meditation and yoga, and got into scientific investigations of spiritual practices.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Zuhainis Saad

Deputy Director, Centre for Academic Development, Universiti Putra Malaysia

She is an Associate Professor at the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences in Universiti Putra Malaysia with expertise in Microbiology and Mycology. She was awarded the 1st place in the Reimagining and Redesigning Malaysian Higher Education Award 2017 (APRS2017) under ‘Virtual Immersive Learning Experience’ category.

Mr. Kok Chee Khean

Co-Founder & CTO, My Conceptual Robotics (MyCRO) Sdn. Bhd

Graduated from University of Malaya in Bachelor of Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing). Majoring in Computer Numerical Control Machining with various experience in robotics development through his study. With his skills and experience, he’s going to drive the society to a better technology in the future.

 

 

In conjunction with SCIENCE CASTLE in Malaysia 2018, there will be Great Teacher Seminar on the second day, 18th March 2017. This Seminar has a special forum on Great Teacher: Revealing the Unsung Heroes, with discussion topic about teachers who are passionate about nurturing young leaders in science and technology. We welcome passionate teachers to participate and learn the recipe to become a sensational teacher of science and R&D! There’s also science workshops and 3D printer workshop for students.
