The Grand Opening Ceremony Celebrates The Transformation Of The Center Of Garage Malaysia (CoGMY)

Cyberjaya, January 16, 2024 – Following the successful launch on October 13, 2023, Leave a Nest Group is excited to announce the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Center of Garage Malaysia (CoGMY). The event marks the completion of an innovative incubation ecosystem space.

The Grand Opening Ceremony, held on January 16, 2024, is a momentous occasion to unveil the completion of CoGMY and announce the startups that have joined this unique knowledge and deep tech manufacturing ecosystem. The facility is now ready to incubate 20 companies from Malaysia, Turkey, Japan, and Southeast Asia, becoming a hub for innovation and collaboration.

CoGMY is an open space for companies, researchers, and individuals interested in collaboratively creating new knowledge and products. The incubation ecosystem features a range of spaces, including a Co-Working Space, Private Office, Seminar Room, Meeting Rooms, Electronic & Mechanical Fabrication Space, and a Garage Museum space for startups to showcase their products.

Beyond being a workspace, CoGMY is committed to fostering curiosity and talent development. The facility will host activities designed to engage youths and provide training opportunities for future industry leaders, encouraging them to become Technopreneurs and Innovators.

During the Grand Opening event, ecosystem partners, which include Cyberview, Kobe Life Tech, Mitsubishi Electric, Kobashi Holdings, Euglena, Real Tech Holdings, Glocalink Singapore, Micro Precision Machining and PICA Manufacturing and Zull Design, were introduced and shared their interest and support towards the startups of CoGMY. There were also short presentations from the Startup Residents from Malaysia and Japan, which included Aavur, Ada Biotech, Alphaswift, Biovet, Jazro, Endo-phyte, Fibercraze, Platinum Bio, Sustainable Food Asia (SFA) and CAST. These startups are among the first 20 startups that will be utilising CoGMY as their hub of development and expansion into the region and global market.

Leave a Nest extended an invitation to more startups, researchers, universities, schools, corporate entities, and government agencies to work together and become part of the Center of Garage Malaysia ecosystem.
