Science Castle in Asia Returns for Its Second Edition in 2024: Nurturing The Next Generation of STEM Leaders across Asia.

Cyberjaya [ 4 October 2024]: Following the success of last year's inaugural event, Science Castle in Asia is back for its second edition, poised to bring together over 1,300 students and teachers from 94 schools across 9 countries. The 2024 conference will feature the region’s brightest young scientific minds, with participants sharing cutting-edge research and innovative ideas. This year’s conference will showcase 18 oral presentations and 205 poster presentations, including 5 research projects awarded the inaugural Science Castle Grant Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad Award. These presentations will foster collaboration and spark innovation, reinforcing Science Castle in Asia as a premier platform for young researchers to present their findings and network with peers across Asia.

The Science Castle in Asia 2024 is organized by Leave a Nest in partnership with Multimedia University (MMU) and a host of industry and academic leaders. Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad, Focus Systems, and ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. serve as the main partners, playing a pivotal role in supporting young scientific talent. Other key supporters include Cyberview, FGV Holdings, Tokyo Metropolitan University, and Yamaha, contributing resources and expertise to elevate the event. Ecosystem partners such as IR Academy, the National STEM Association, Sugar Bomb, and Yakult are working collaboratively to create an enriched environment for learning and innovation. With Edukuri as the media partner, the participants' innovations will reach an even broader audience, highlighting the region's commitment to advancing science and technology.

Participants will also engage in hands-on science workshops led by experts from Multimedia University (MMU), Tokyo Metropolitan University, IR Academy, Sugarbomb, and Leave a Nest’s Singapore and Malaysia. These workshops will expose students to cutting-edge research and technological advancements while fostering collaboration among young scientists from different countries. The lineup ensures that participants will gain practical insights and knowledge from both academia and industry.

Science Castle in Asia 2024 will also offer exciting award opportunities. Notably, top participants will be eligible for a fully sponsored trip to Japan, courtesy of Focus Systems Corporation and Leave a Nest Malaysia. In addition to cash prizes for the best oral and poster presentations, this sponsorship provides young researchers with global exposure and the chance to network with leading scientists and innovators. The awards serve as a catalyst for international collaboration and personal growth, making participation in Science Castle an invaluable experience for the next generation of scientists.
