Dato BJ Tan (DJN) is the President of the Malaysia Aquaculture Processors Association (MAQUA), a non-profit organization established in 2012 to support the growth and prosperity of the aquaculture industry in Malaysia. Under BJ Tan's leadership, MAQUA has become a preferred platform for business matching and collaboration within the industry, focusing on economic sustainability, social responsibility, and environmental protection. He plays a significant role in facilitating networking activities that include securing funding for aquaculture ventures, fostering relationships with government entities, and promoting both domestic and international technology transfers. BJ Tan oversees efforts in contract farming, frozen manufacturing, and the sales and marketing of aquaculture products. He emphasizes the importance of innovation and technology in the aquaculture sector, offering support for farm visits, online advice for members, and training courses to ensure the industry remains competitive and sustainable.
