Science Castle Asia 2025 Welcomes Dr. Joe Inoue as Keynote Speaker

Science Castle Asia 2025 will open with a keynote address by Dr. Joe Inoue, Co-Founder and Chief Culture Officer (CCO) of Leave a Nest Group. Known for his passion in connecting science, innovation, and education, Dr. Inoue will share his journey of transforming ideas into real-world impact an inspiring story for young researchers and aspiring scientists across Asia.

Last year’s keynote featured a NASA-affiliated scientist whose story of exploration and perseverance inspired countless students. This year, Science Castle Asia continues its tradition of showcasing trailblazers who embody curiosity, creativity, and leadership. Dr. Joe Inoue's story exemplifies how science and technology can work hand in hand with culture and collaboration to create lasting change.

Dr. Joe Inoue earned his Ph.D. and pharmacist license from the Graduate School of Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences. During his Ph.D. studies, he co-founded Leave a Nest in 2002 with 14 fellow students from various science and technology backgrounds. After completing his doctorate, he began his academic career as Assistant Professor and Lecturer at the School of Science, Kitasato University. He later joined the Graduate School of Medicine at Kyoto University as Assistant Professor and served as Visiting Associate Professor at the Institute for Advanced Biosciences, Keio University. Since 2018, he has held Visiting Professor positions at the School of Pharmacy, Kumamoto University, and the Faculty of Pharmacy, Keio University.

Beyond his research and teaching, Dr. Joe Inoue has played a pivotal role in bridging academia and industry. He has helped establish joint research projects between universities and corporations, supported the founding of new research institutes, and advised numerous startups in the biotech, medtech, and healthcare sectors. His vision of empowering scientists to bring their discoveries into society continues to shape the innovation ecosystem across Asia.
