With a strong foundation in civil and environmental engineering, Dr. Awang Nasrizal currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Sarawak. His work sits at the intersection of infrastructure, sustainability, and smart technologies, where he develops practical solutions that translate research into real-world impact.
Dr. Awang Nasrizal’s research focuses on smart water systems, sustainable stormwater management, and the innovative transformation of agricultural waste into high-value environmental applications. Among his notable contributions is AQUASENTRA, an award-winning smart water-quality monitoring system designed to empower communities with real-time data, enabling more informed and resilient environmental decision-making.
Beyond his research achievements, Dr. Awang Nasrizal is deeply committed to shaping the next generation of engineers and innovators.
