YB Jordan Jude to Deliver Keynote Address at Sustainable Aquaculture Summit (SAS) 2026

The Sustainable Aquaculture Summit (SAS) 2026 is honoured to welcome YB Jordan Jude as the Keynote Speaker for this year’s summit, which will take place on 4 June 2026 at the Biotechnology Research Institute, Universiti Malaysia Sabah.
Carrying the keynote theme, “Strengthening Sabah’s Blue Economy Through Science, Innovation, and Sustainable Aquaculture,” the address will highlight Sabah’s strategic direction in advancing sustainable aquaculture through science, technology, innovation, education, and collaborative ecosystem development.
As Sabah continues to strengthen its position within the blue economy ecosystem, the summit will serve as an important platform bringing together policymakers, researchers, universities, startups, industries, and international collaborators to explore innovative and nature-positive solutions for the future of aquaculture.
The keynote address will also emphasise the importance of education and talent development in shaping the future of Sabah’s aquaculture industry. By empowering young researchers, scientists, technologists, and entrepreneurs, Sabah aims to strengthen its innovation ecosystem while preparing future talents with scientific knowledge, digital skills, sustainability awareness, and innovation capabilities.
In line with the aspirations of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Sabah (KPSTI), the summit highlights the role of science, technology, and innovation in driving sustainable economic growth and environmental resilience. Emerging technologies such as smart aquaculture systems, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, automation, and water quality monitoring are expected to play an increasingly important role in strengthening the sustainability and competitiveness of Sabah’s aquaculture sector.
Organised by Leave a Nest Malaysia in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), SAS 2026 aims to foster meaningful discussions, strategic partnerships, and impactful initiatives towards building a more resilient, inclusive, and future-ready aquaculture ecosystem for Sabah and the region.
Join us at SAS 2026 to explore the future of the blue economy and sustainable aquaculture.
