Over 300 Participants Joined the Inaugural Add Venture Forum Philippines 2025!

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The very first implementation of the Add Venture Forum (AVF) in the Philippines 2025 was greeted by a total of 363 participants coming mostly from the Adamson University but there were also participants who came from other universities such as the Mapua University, Pamantasan Lungsod ng Maynila, Rizal Technological University, and the University of the Philippines (Manila campus and Diliman campus). This event was held at the Adamson University, ST Quadrangle last February 8, 2025, organized by the Leave a Nest Philippines along with the Adamson University Neo Science and Technology Incubation Center (AdUNEST).

The event was able to bring together various “Adventurers” who were willing to explore different career paths aside from the usual pre-determined careers of their respective disciplines. Through AVF, these adventurous individuals were given a unique platform to connect and closely interact with the different companies and startups who are also venturing further to discover new knowledge and opportunities.

The Add Venture Forum started with welcoming remarks from Engr. Ian Charl Nico Tubban, Head of the AdUNEST Inc., TBI Office from the Adamson University Center for Technology Innovation and Commercialization. Engr. Tubban gave encouraging words to the participants about the main theme of AVF which is about going on an adventure for your career path. Engr. Tubban even cited himself as an example of having an adventurous career as he also came from a different background in relation to his current job position. Afterwards, Dr. Yevgeny Aster Dulla, Managing Director of the Leave a Nest Philippines, gave a speech to introduce Leave a Nest to the 300+ participants in attendance as well as explain what they do and why they are doing projects like the AVF. He expounded on one of the main problems of the Philippines, the “Brain Drain”, and how creating opportunities such as these kinds of events create platforms for people to come together and thrive in the country. Lastly, Mr. Ronrick Arayata, Project Leader of the Add Venture Forum Philippines 2025, gave his opening speech to explain what the AVF really aims to achieve which is to encourage the spirit of adventure to the various participants and company partners in attendance to the event.

After the opening speeches, the Career Pitches then commenced where the participating partner companies of the event each gave their company introductions to give more details about themselves. This section also aims to entice the participants to come and join their company booth later on for the Mini Career Workshops. Each partner company had 3 minutes to present with no Q&A portion from the audience in order to encourage them to go to the company booths later on.

Afterwards, the main part of the AVF then began, which was the Mini-Career Workshop. Each company had their own booths within the venue wherein they would do a workshop activity for the participants to better interact with them. These workshops lasted for 30 minutes each, and it was repeated 3 times so the participants had 3 workshops to attend during the event. Each company had a different kind of workshop based on their own objectives and message to the participants. There were companies who had students try out their equipment, some imparted their startup knowledge and experience to the participants, and there were some who encouraged participants to create their own businesses as future adventurers of the country. Hirata Precision Philippines commends the event’s workshop setup stating that “The workshop gave the students the opportunity to connect and interact with professionals and give a chance for possible internships“. Meanwhile M Diagnostics Philippines commented on the participants who attended the event stating that they were “particularly impressed by the number of students and graduates who participated and showed their enthusiasm and drive as they explored various career opportunities”.

Before the event concluded, the participants were encouraged to continue being adventurers and embark on more adventurous journeys even after AVF had ended. Future events of Leave a Nest were promoted for them to engage in more exploration such as the upcoming TECH PLANTER Philippines, a pitching competition for startups and the like, and the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference, a conference of individuals coming from various sectors and disciplines.
