New Region, New Collaboration: Wildcat Innovation Labs Joins as Co-Organizer for the 2nd Visayas TECH PLANTER!
Leave a Nest Philippines is proud to announce Wildcat Innovation Labs (Wildcat Labs) as the official Co-Organizer of the 2nd Visayas TECH PLANTER (VisTP). This partnership underscores our continued commitment to our mission of “Harmonizing Science and Technology Stakeholders for the Empowerment of the Filipinos”, as we expand our efforts to nurture the deep-tech ecosystem in the Visayas region and beyond.
Following the successful inaugural run of VisTP 2024 in Iloilo City, hosted in partnership with Iloilo Science and Technology University – Kwadra TBI, this year’s edition will explore new frontiers. The 2nd Visayas TECH PLANTER will be held in Cebu City on August 2, 2025, at The Marco Polo Plaza Hotel—with the support of our newest regional partner, Wildcat Labs, the technology business incubator of Cebu Institute of Technology – University (CIT-U).
This collaboration marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between Leave a Nest Philippines and Wildcat Labs. Together, we aim to empower more innovators, researchers, and startups from Central Visayas and Visayas Island as a whole, providing a platform to showcase their solutions, connect with industry experts, and most importantly, to support them in bringing their technology to the society.
About Wildcat Innovation Labs
Wildcat Labs is the official Technology Business Incubator (TBI) of Cebu Institute of Technology – University (CIT-U), supported by DOST-PCIEERD. Established to foster technopreneurship within the university and the broader Cebu innovation community, they provide incubation services such as mentorship, pre-acceleration programs, co-working spaces, and access to industry and government networks. Its flagship program, LaunchLab, helps early-stage startups refine their business models and prepare for market entry.
The TBI focuses on high-impact fields such as artificial intelligence, IoT, robotics, data analytics, and mechatronics, and collaborates closely with partners like DOST-7, DTI-7, and StellarPH. Through events, training, and ecosystem-building efforts, they aim to support scalable, community-driven innovations and elevate Central Visayas as a hub for deep-tech entrepreneurship.
Together with Wildcat Labs, Leave a Nest Philippines envisions a more inclusive and accessible innovation landscape—one that bridges scientific discovery with real-world applications. Through the Visayas TECH PLANTER platform, we aim to uncover and nurture the next wave of deep-tech pioneers whose solutions address pressing global issues that are rooted in local challenges.
