Innovation in Motion: DOST Region 12 Scholar Teams Head to STTP Demo Day

Through the initiatives of the Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute, in cooperation with DOST Region 12 Office, and Leave a Nest Philippines as the exclusive training provider, the journey of innovation continues as the Scholars Technopreneurship Training Program (STTP) 2025 in Region 12 enters its final stage. After months of rigorous modules, hands-on mentoring, and venture-building workshops, the region’s most promising young innovators are set to showcase their ideas in the culminating STTP REGION 12 DEMO DAY on SEPTEMBER 19, 2025 at the GRAND SUMMIT HOTEL GENERAL SANTOS, GENERAL SANTOS CITY.

From a pool of handpicked 100 DOST scholars from Region 12, 12 teams have formed and emerged to finally present their ventures to an esteemed panel of judges composed of local and international innovators and leaders in various sectors and industries. Their ventures span diverse themes from agriculture, medical sciences, education, infrastructure, and sustainability, highlighting the ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit thriving in SOCCSKSARGEN.

InvaSense	InvaSense aims to optimize the experience of patients and medical practitioners worldwide.
SAGINHAWA	SAGINHAWA addresses the growing problem of stress by transforming agricultural waste into a sustainable wellness product.
BayawTech AgriSolutions	BayawTech Agrisolutions advances smart and sustainable solutions that empower farmers, protect farms, and strengthen agriculture for future generations.
SUEY	Suey aims to provide sustainable solutions for sustainable marine life.
SustanEx	SustanEx envisions leading the way in sustainable protection to ensure freshness and a greener world.
ChitoCore	ChitoCore transforms shellfish biowaste into sustainable technologies for clean water, eco-friendly plastics alternatives, and community solutions.
Tulay	Tulay revolutionizes construction by connecting people, materials, and services through one seamless platform.
SafeZone Seekers	SnapGrips makes attendance simple and automatic by turning every hard hat into a real-time tracker, helping workers get recognized for their hours while saving companies time and money.
eduCAREtion	EduCAREtion’s GradeLinkED tackles one of the most pressing challenges in education today: the heavy workload of teachers caused by manual grading and fragmented assessment systems.
Kalinaw	Team Kalinaw stands for peace, unity, and inclusivity—empowering communities by bridging tradition and technology to preserve and connect cultures.

A Celebration of Innovation

The Demo Day is more than a competition — it’s a platform where ideas are tested, refined, and celebrated. The participating teams will showcase how science, technology, and entrepreneurship can come together to address pressing issues, spark collaboration, and inspire future innovators.

As Region 12’s brightest scholars step onto the stage, they embody the vision of STTP: nurturing young leaders who transform knowledge into solutions and opportunities for society.
