A Decade of Innovation: TECH PLANTER in the Philippines opens its 10th Year of Deep Tech Excellence!

MANILA, Philippines — Leave a Nest Philippines is proud to announce the milestone year of TECH PLANTER in the Philippines as 2026 marks its historic 10th anniversary of nurturing the country’s most promising deep tech researchers and startups since the program first planted its seeds here in the Philippines in 2017.

What began as a vision to bridge the gap between the laboratory and the market has blossomed into the country's most influential deep tech ecosystem. Over the last decade, TECH PLANTER has evolved from a single pitch event into a nationwide engine for innovation, connecting Filipino visionaries with global mentors, prototyping support, and strategic business matching.

A nationwide movement in its first decade, TECH PLANTER in the Philippines has succeeded in creating a cohesive pipeline for startups in an emerging market. While it began in Metro Manila, the program has successfully expanded through regional implementations since 2024. This year, we celebrate the success of all our teams across the islands, proving that impactful technology is being developed in laboratories all over the Philippines. By engaging with regional hubs, TECH PLANTER has found solutions made specifically for the Philippines. These include clean energy for island provinces, smart fish farming using AI, sustainable agriculture technologies, and other solutions that address many of the country's most pressing challenges.
