This January, students of ages 9-12 are invited to delve into the exciting world of Eggs and Protein molecules, and explore the fascinating science behind it at Leave a Nest’s “Cracking the Mysteries of Eggs” science workshop.

What makes up an egg? This Science workshop aims to unravel the mysteries of what forms an egg and provide participants with a deeper understanding of the molecular mysteries of an egg.

Event Highlights:

– Understanding the Egg: Explored the unique roles of eggshells, egg whites, and yolks in protecting and nurturing life. Discovered what each part is made of and why it’s essential for a developing chick.

– Connecting Science to Everyday Life: Learned how the composition of eggs relates to their strength, nutrition, and cooking properties. Gained insight into how proteins and fats play vital roles in life and food science, through engaging hands on experiments.

– Special Appearances and Inspiring Innovations: A sharing by Matsuki-sensei from PtBio on the science of allergies and why some proteins are hard to avoid. And the journey of creating allergen-free eggs, showcasing how science improves lives.
