Science Castle Singapore Showcases Innovative Student Research from Across Asia
The Marquee at Science Centre Singapore was abuzz with scientific discovery as it hosted Science Castle Singapore, a prestigious event that brought together 260 bright young minds from five countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan, and the UK. Marking its return after a hiatus since 2020, this year's event showcased the exceptional talent and groundbreaking research of students from across the region.
The event featured 10 outstanding oral presentations from students representing a diverse group of schools:

These students presented their innovative research projects to a panel of judges and attendees. The Panel of judges consists of

- Dr. Amaladoss Anburaj (Raj), Senior Scientist at Temasek Polytechnic
- Dr. Jonathan Lim – Patent Scientist at Davies Collison Cave

The remaining participating teams presented their research findings in a poster judging session, demonstrating the breadth and depth of scientific talent among the participants.
Science Castle Singapore also recognized exceptional projects with awards presented by its partners, IDEAcademy, IBIDEN, UGO, and Vidacity. The main award winners were:
Best Poster Award: P04 – Raffles Institution – “Exploiting Microbial Genes to Increase Tumour Immunogenicity”
- Leave a Nest Award: O-01 St. Joseph’s Institution – “An investigation on the effect of Ibuprofen on Carpenter Ant’s (Camponotus spp.) average movement speed.”
- Grand Winner Award: O-02 School of Science and Technology – “Investigation on how the colour of online study materials affects Singaporean adolescents’ memory retention rate”
These awards highlight the groundbreaking research and innovative approaches demonstrated by the students. Science Castle Singapore provided a platform for these young researchers to share their passion for science, exchange ideas, and network with their peers and mentors.
