Leave a Nest Singapore signs MoU with SUTD to strengthen Singapore’s deep tech startup ecosystem
Singapore – Leave a Nest Singapore, a leading science and technology company, and Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), the world’s first Design AI university have formalised their commitment to strengthen Singapore’s deep tech startup ecosystem by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 11 April 2025.
The MoU, which was signed by Mr Shohei Maekawa Michael, Director of Leave a Nest Singapore and Ms Celestine Khoo, Senior Director, Venture & Incubation Experience (VIE) of SUTD, marked a significant milestone in promoting collaboration and advancing technological innovation between both organisations.
To kickstart the two-year collaboration, Leave a Nest Singapore and SUTD, on 24 May 2025, held the TECH PLANTER programme on SUTD campus where 9 startups had the opportunity to share their innovations to a panel of judges, with another 13 startups present to find collaborations. TECH PLANTER is just the beginning of collaborative activities. Both organisations hope to leverage their combined strengths and expertise to create a conducive ecosystem for innovation, with the aim to nurture students, young researchers and talents, to drive technological advancements in Singapore.
