Japan Technology Pitch Session: Crafted in Japan, Built for the World

Leave a Nest Singapore is pleased to announce a pitch session featuring Japanese companies with cutting-edge technology at the upcoming Global Knowledge Hub Forum (GKHF) on 20 August 2025.

Japan has long stood at the forefront of global innovation, driven by a deep-rooted culture of craftsmanship and precision. Its commitment to research and development spans a broad range of fields—from advanced robotics and semiconductors to biotechnology and green tech—making it a powerhouse of next-generation solutions. Furthermore, recent years have seen Japanese deep tech providers make an international push to apply their breakthroughs to solving issues around the world.

This pitch session will start with a very special presentation by Mr. Shunichiro Ozawa from the Embassy of Japan in Singapore, who will call upon the attendees to work with Japanese deep tech providers and spur international collaboration.

Four such companies will make their pitches:

  • ugo: a robotics startup whose robots are being fielded in various applications from security to industrial inspection
  • Kumahira: a leading company in the security industry in Japan whose products are ubiquitous in the country
  • IBIDEN Bussan: who has developed a plant based shrimp called Shrimpea
  • Helical Fusion: whose technology and research in nuclear fusion are truly ahead of their time

All of these Japanese companies have made their mark in their home country, and are now prime for collaboration to bring the fruits of their research out onto the wider global stage.

We welcome all players in every field to join this pitch session and imagine how Japanese deep tech can be applied to issues you want to solve. Please click the link below to register your attendance at GKHF!
