Hosting Lead the Change Vietnam Students at Leave a Nest Singapore Office

On 8th July 2025, Leave a Nest Singapore had the pleasure of hosting the passionate and dynamic young minds of Lead the Change Vietnam Batch 8, a group of students driven by the vision to build impactful startups and passion projects. This visit offered them a hands-on opportunity to learn about Leave a Nest’s signature QPMI cycle: Question, Passion, Mission, and Identity and how it can empower their entrepreneurial journeys.
The session began on a lively note, with Ruchira, a member of Leave a Nest Singapore, warmly welcoming the students and introducing the Leave a Nest Singapore team. To break the ice and spark connections, participants also enjoyed a fun and interactive “Welcome to Singapore” Kahoot session, setting the tone for an engaging afternoon of learning and sharing.
Following this, Dr. Kihoko, Managing Director of Leave a Nest Singapore, provided an overview of the company’s unique approach to innovation. Framing her explanation through the QPMI cycle, she introduced how Leave a Nest nurtures deep tech startups and forges collaborative ecosystems to turn curiosity-driven research into real-world impact. This framework became a guiding lens for the rest of the workshop.
The heart of the session was a QPMI workshop led by Ruchira, who guided the students to reflect on their personal passions and challenges they care about solving. To inspire the students, Ruchira invited Ayu, another Leave a Nest member, to share her entrepreneurial journey with Cortex Lab, an initiative she started together with her group of friends during her university days. This real-life example resonated strongly with the participants, showing them that building meaningful ventures from their passions is not only possible but already being done, and can be started early on during their educational journey.
In the final segment, students were invited to present their own QPMI cycles, sharing how they envision transforming their passions into missions and potentially, future startups. The room was filled with energy, creativity, and the spark of purpose, as each student began crafting their unique innovation journey.
This sharing session reaffirmed Leave a Nest’s commitment to nurturing young innovators who are eager to shape the future with their ideas. We believe that passion is the foundation of impactful innovation, and are proud to support programmes like Lead the Change that develop the next generation of changemakers.
Leave a Nest is open to collaborating with universities, companies, and organisations seeking to engage students through meaningful innovation-based learning experiences.
