Dr. Shuichiro Takahashi earned his Ph.D. in Life Sciences from the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences at The University of Tokyo. In 2002, while pursuing his doctoral degree, he co-founded Leave a Nest Co., Ltd.
Since the company’s establishment, he has led the development of educational programs, the creation of its in-house research institute, and the expansion of its research support and contract research businesses. In 2009, he launched the L-Grant initiative and developed it into one of the company’s core businesses while building a strong foundation for collaboration with academic institutions. The research platform created through this initiative has supported the company’s subsequent business development.
In 2010, he was appointed Representative Director COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. In this role, he designed and implemented the company’s business execution framework and promoted sustainable business creation and organizational growth in Japan through organizational development and human resource development. Since 2026, he has served as Representative Director CSO (Chief Strategy Officer) of Leave a Nest Co., Ltd., as well as Representative Director of Leave a Nest Capital Co., Ltd. In these roles, he oversees the Group’s medium- to long-term strategy and promotes solutions to societal challenges through business creation across national borders and industries.

Dr. Jindo
Ph.D. in Engineering
Born in Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Dr. Jindo earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from Yokohama National University, specializing in organic dye chemistry. During his doctoral studies, he conducted research at KU Leuven in Belgium. Following research and educational positions at universities, he joined Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. in 2019. Since then, he has led numerous projects supporting the expansion and implementation of technologies from Japanese regional companies, startups, small and medium-sized enterprises, mid-sized companies, and large corporations into Southeast Asia. His work has included initiatives such as the Ota City Prototyping Project for Creating Collaboration between Startups and Manufacturing Companies in Tokyo and the Hiroshima Prefecture Project for Creating Projects through Collaboration with Overseas Startups. Since 2023, he has concurrently served as a Visiting Associate Professor at the Deep Tech Serial Innovation Center, Nagoya University, and since 2025 as a Director of Leave a Nest Singapore Pte. Ltd. As a Science Bridge Leader pursuing the theme of “Creating cross-border structures which can solve issues using science and technology”, Dr. Jindo is working to establish new models for the cross-border application of science and technology.

Truong Vo Huu Thien (Tony)
MSc in Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence
Thien earned his Master’s degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Japan. With a background in technology, education, and entrepreneurship, he has been actively involved in developing innovative solutions in robotics, artificial intelligence, and STEM education. He is the founder of GaraSTEM, a Vietnamese education technology company focused on making robotics and STEM learning more accessible to students and schools. Under his leadership, GaraSTEM has developed Made-in-Vietnam educational robotics solutions and expanded its collaborations with schools, universities, corporations, and international partners across Asia. His work has also focused on connecting research, technology, and business between Vietnam, Japan, and Southeast Asia. Through collaborations with researchers and deep-tech partners, he has participated in projects involving artificial intelligence, robotics, IoT, and educational technology, while supporting the commercialization and practical application of new technologies. In 2026, his entrepreneurial activities were recognized through the SEA Deep Tech Venture of the Year award by the Leave a Nest Group. He is currently involved in the development of Leave a Nest Vietnam, to strengthen the bridge between researchers, startups, corporations, and educational communities in Vietnam and the global Leave a Nest ecosystem.
