Forging a Path for Deep Tech Collaboration: Leave a Nest Japan and InnoLab Asia Sign Strategic MOU to Empower Southeast Asian Startups Ecosystem
On July 12th, 2025, Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. (Japan) and InnoLab Asia (Vietnam) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Ho Chi Minh City to establish a strategic partnership aimed at supporting the growth of deep tech startups and strengthening innovation ecosystems in Vietnam.
Leave a Nest has been working to solve social issues and create new industries in Southeast Asia through co-creation with researchers and entrepreneurs. Vietnam is attracting attention as a region with a high concentration of highly skilled human resources and high potential for implementing technological seeds. This partnership with InnoLab Asia is extremely important in promoting the creation of a deep-tech, deep-issue oriented entrepreneurship support network linking Southeast Asia and Japan.
This MOU formalizes a shared commitment to utilize the platform built by both parties, to nurture science-based entrepreneurship, fostering international collaboration, and building sustainable pathways for startups to scale beyond borders.The agreement was signed by Dr. Shuichiro Takahashi, Chief Operating Officer of Leave a Nest Co., Ltd., and Mr. Anirban Roy, Senior Partner of InnoLab Asia. Under this agreement, Leave a Nest and InnoLab Asia focus on three key objectives:
1. Identifying and supporting high-potential deep tech startups in Vietnam
2. Connecting the startup ecosystems of Vietnam, Japan, and Southeast Asia
3. Providing a platform for acceleration, investment, and global market expansion of science-based projects
The MOU outlines a flexible framework for bilateral cooperation, encouraging co-development of new initiatives that support both organizations’ missions. Together with InnoLab Asia, Leave a Nest will continue to identify new opportunities for empowering deep tech startups and enabling impactful solutions for global challenges in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
