Leave a Nest Group Invests in Tenchijin Inc. to Advance Sustainable Water Utilities with Satellite Data and AI

Tokyo, Japan — September 2, 2025 — Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo; Group CEO: Dr. Yukihiro Maru) and Leave a Nest Capital Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo; President: Masahiro Ikegami) today announced a joint investment in Tenchijin Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo, Tokyo; CEO: Yasuhito Sakuraba), a certified JAXA startup that integrates space big data and AI analytics to visualize hidden risks and value on Earth.

Tenchijin’s flagship service, KnoWaterleak launched in 2023, is a digital transformation (DX) solution that leverages satellite data and AI to support sustainable water utility operations. The service has already been adopted by more than 40 municipalities across Japan. With this investment, Leave a Nest Group will accelerate further development of the platform and drive its deployment both domestically and internationally.

Accelerating Global Expansion in Water Infrastructure

Since partnering with Leave a Nest, Tenchijin has rapidly advanced its overseas strategy. The company joined the Center of Garage Malaysia incubation facility in February 2024, and in August of the same year was selected for an AMEICC-commissioned project promoting overseas expansion of Japanese startups through ASEAN collaboration.

Tenchijin has also been gaining recognition in regional innovation platforms, including presenting at the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference 2024 Kansai and being selected as a finalist at the Agri-Tech Grand Prix 2024. The company is further contributing to the Leave a Nest Resilience Project with its Space Water Bureau solution.

In Malaysia, Tenchijin signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Universiti Sains Malaysia in February 2025 to explore applications in infrastructure assessment and renewable energy site selection.
