Sustainable Aquaculture Summit (SAS) 2025: Plenary Speaker Announcement

The organizing committee of the Sustainable Aquaculture Summit (SAS) 2025 is pleased to announce Associate Professor Dr. Sazlina Md Salleh of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) as a Plenary Speaker at the conference.
Dr. Sazlina is a Deputy Director of Centre for Policy Research and International Studies (CenPRIS), USM. She has an established academic portfolio and research expertise in the fields of marine ecology, biodiversity, and primary productivity. Her scholarly work focuses on the impacts of climate change on marine photosynthetic organisms, particularly microalgae, coral, and seagrasses.
Over the course of nearly two decades at USM, Dr. Sazlina has conducted extensive research in the areas of marine ecology, marine policy, biodiversity, and conservation. In addition, through her role at CenPRIS, she has developed a strong interest in strengthening the link between scientific research and policy development. Her current work examines the implications of gazetting marine parks in areas of intensive fisheries and developed coastal zones, with a particular emphasis on the socio-economic impacts on small-scale fishing communities.
With her breadth of experience in both scientific inquiry and policy engagement, Dr. Sazlina brings valuable insights to the dialogue on sustainable aquaculture and marine resource management. The Summit looks forward to her contribution as a Plenary Speaker.
