Dr. David Verner Jeffreys to Share Expertise at Sustainable Aquaculture Summit 2025

The Organizing Committee of Sustainable Aquaculture Summit (SAS) 2025 is honored to extend an invitation to Dr. David Verner Jeffreys, Senior Scientist at WorldFish, to join us as a keynote speaker. With his extensive experience in aquatic animal health, antimicrobial resistance, and sustainable aquaculture practices, Dr. Verner Jeffreys is uniquely positioned to inspire and inform the global aquaculture community.
Dr. Verner Jeffreys earned his PhD in Infection and Immunity from the University of Glasgow and has held key roles in the UK FAO Reference Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance and at the Oceanic Institute in Hawaii. His work bridges diagnostics, health management, and microbial risk mitigation in farmed finfish and shrimp, areas that are critical for scaling aquaculture sustainably and responsibly.
We believe his insights will add tremendous value to the SAS 2025's agenda, particularly around resilience, biosecurity, and innovation-driven growth. We look forward to welcoming him to share his vision, engage with stakeholders, and catalyze action toward a future of sustainable aquatic food systems.
