Tech Garage Seminar in Indonesia Vol. I Powered by CAST Inc. Accelerates Cross-Border Collaboration in Smart Sensor Technologies

Jakarta, Indonesia – November 18, 2025
The inaugural Tech Garage Seminar in Indonesia Vol. I, powered by CAST Inc. (Japan) and supported by BETA-UAS (Indonesia), Beyond Horizon Technologies (Malaysia), and Enygma AI (Malaysia), was successfully held on 18 November 2025, from 14:00–17:00 WIB at BLOCK71 Jakarta. Carrying the theme “Harnessing Smart Sensors to Enhance Efficiency and Safety”, the seminar highlighted the growing demand for advanced sensing technologies in Indonesia’s industrial and energy sectors, while strengthening regional collaboration among deep-tech innovators.
The event opened with a welcoming speech from Ms. Andora Michi, Director of Operations at Innovation Factory Indonesia. She emphasized how Indonesia is rapidly emerging as a strategic hub for industrial innovation and expressed strong support for programs like Tech Garage that bring together technology creators, researchers, and industry players across borders.
The main presentation was delivered by Dr. Kei Nakatsuma, CEO of CAST Inc., a Japanese technology company specializing in film-based piezoelectric sensors and pipe-wall thinning monitoring systems for industrial applications. Dr. Nakatsuma introduced CAST’s proprietary flexible, heat-resistant smart sensors capable of real-time monitoring under harsh conditions enabling predictive maintenance, safety assurance, and data-driven efficiency in sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, and power generation.
Representing Indonesia’s growing UAV ecosystem, Mr. Indra P. Sopian, CEO of BETA-UAS, presented the company’s innovations in unmanned aerial systems for industrial inspection and environmental monitoring. BETA-UAS develops custom drone platforms and sensor-integrated flight systems designed to improve safety and reduce operational downtime by providing high-precision aerial data in hard-to-reach industrial environments.
Mr. Ts. Mohamad Fadzly, representing Beyond Horizon Technologies Sdn. Bhd., showcased the company’s expertise in remote sensing, geospatial analytics, and environmental data integration. The company’s solutions empower industries and governments to make informed decisions through data collected via drones, satellites, and IoT sensors supporting initiatives in sustainability, infrastructure management, and energy optimization across Southeast Asia.
The final presentation featured Mr. Rashad Tajuddin from Enygma AI Sdn. Bhd., who shared how AI-driven analytics and machine learning models can transform sensor data into actionable intelligence. Enygma AI develops predictive platforms that help industries anticipate equipment failure, optimize maintenance schedules, and enhance overall operational safety, complementing the ecosystem of hardware-based sensing solutions showcased at the event.
The seminar concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Nur Ahmad Zaim, Director of Leave a Nest Malaysia, who emphasized the importance of regional collaboration in building a sustainable innovation network that bridges Japan and ASEAN. He also highlighted that Tech Garage Indonesia Vol. I marks a new milestone for Leave a Nest’s mission to nurture deep-tech partnerships and accelerate technology adoption in Southeast Asia.
