Online Workshop on January 23 – Design a Robot Together with Researchers!
Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Shuichiro Takahashi; hereinafter “Leave a Nest”) will hold the “Entrepreneurship Workshop: Design a Robot Together with Researchers!” on Saturday, January 23, in partnership with Focus Systems Corporation.
The program will begin with an online talk by a young entrepreneur from GaraSTEM, a Vietnamese EdTech startup developing robotics kits to address challenges in STEM education in Southeast Asia. Participants will then work in teams to discuss and design their own ideas for robots that can contribute to society.
We welcome junior high and high school students interested in robotics, engineering, entrepreneurship, Southeast Asia, and global challenges to join us.
The program will also be conducted in collaboration with Hylable, a company developing technologies to visualize and analyze discussions. Hylable will analyze the participants’ team discussions during the workshop.

We particularly welcome students who:
- are interested in robotics, entrepreneurship, and global topics; and
- are willing to take on the challenge of presenting their ideas in English.

Please note that applications may close earlier if we receive a large number of submissions. Depending on the number of applications, we may not be able to accommodate all applicants. Leave a Nest will notify applicants of their participation status by January 19.

Measures to Prevent the Spread of Infectious Diseases
The number of participants at this event will be limited, and seating will be arranged to ensure appropriate social distancing.
Participants are requested to wear masks upon entering the venue and throughout the event.
Participants’ temperatures will be checked at the entrance. Anyone with a temperature of 37.5°C or higher will not be permitted to participate.
Please refrain from participating if you are feeling unwell.
Personal information provided during registration may be used to contact participants if a participant or other person involved in the event is subsequently confirmed to have an infectious disease. Such information may also be provided to relevant public health authorities when necessary.
