Following the tremendous response to the inaugural Kobashi Monozukuri Seminar held during the Global Knowledge Hub Forum (GKHF) in August 20th 2025, Leave a Nest Singapore, in collaboration with Kobashi Holdings Co., Ltd. (Japan), proudly announces the Second Kobashi Monozukuri Seminar to be held on 13 November 2025.

About the KOBASHI Monozukuri Seminar
The KOBASHI Monozukuri Seminar is an educational program designed to share the essence of Japanese manufacturing philosophy with deep-tech startups in Southeast Asia. Led by experts from KOBASHI Holdings, a century-old company known for its craftsmanship and innovation, the program aims to bridge Japanese monozukuri knowledge with the ambitions of global startups to accelerate their journey from idea to mass production.
Building on the Momentum of August’s Success
The first seminar attracted over 50 participants from Singapore and Malaysia on August 20th and 22nd, respectively. The seminar highlighted the essence of Monozukuri as well as showing practical insights on manufacturing and the pitfalls of manufacturing. The first session explored the framework of the Monozukuri concept, and the second with the next session on the Reality of “Design Documentation” and “Working with Manufacturing Partners.”

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of Japan’s Monozukuri philosophy, focusing on the principles that have guided Kobashi Holdings’ century-long excellence in manufacturing. The session will feature direct engagement with Mr. Shojiro Kobashi, the fourth generation President and CEO of Kobashi Holdings, as he shares insights on how Monozukuri is documented, practiced, and continuously evolved to meet the needs of modern industries.

Special Announcement: March 2025 Japan Visit
This time, the seminar will also conclude with a special announcement of the upcoming Immersive Tour to Kobashi Holdings Headquarters in Okayama, Japan in March (tentative dates: March 25th-26th 2026) offering participants the opportunity to experience Monozukuri firsthand and engage with engineers and innovators at the forefront of Japanese manufacturing. So far, 10 startups from Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia have physically visited KOBASHI HOLDINGS in Okayama, Japan to explore discussions in manufacturing.

This November, the seminar is open to all those interested but especially welcomes deep tech startups that are seeking prototyping, manufacturing scale up and design improvements with Japanese manufacturers. In particular, those that meet the following criteria:

- – Have a working prototype
- – Are interested in entering the Japanese market
- – Have at least one member with an understanding of manufacturing
- – Possess strong passion and commitment toward achieving mass production
