Redefining Collaboration: Bridging Perspectives for a Symbiotic Future in the Upcoming Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference 2024
Being an archipelago with over 7,000 islands, the Philippines, with its unique culture, has the potential to be a symbiotic society, specifically in terms of the various knowledge fields that are developing among its members. Although the concept of a symbiotic society may be unfamiliar to the Filipino public, it often manifests social support networks, collaborative efforts, and cultural practices that foster communal growth.
Considering this, Leave a Nest Philippines is pleased to unveil its upcoming Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference in the Philippines for 2024, centered around the theme, “Beyond Borders: Uniting Perspectives for a Symbiotic Society.” This conference will serve as an unprecedented gathering of diverse minds, mainly discussing issues related to ecological footprints, food technology and innovations, public health, and biomedical science. With its comprehensive program involving panel discussions, poster presentations, and research splash presentations, attendees and presenters alike will benefit from engaging with other thought leaders and innovators who are at the forefront of their research fields and creating societal solutions that cater to the current problems of Filipino communities.
There will be a keynote discussion and panel sessions addressing various relevant issues within the Philippine context. For the keynote session, it aims to discuss the strength of cooperation and innovation in public health, biomedical science, and community service. Likewise, it aims to highlight aspects of sustainable farming and social entrepreneurship, mainly in the fields of healthcare and agriculture. On the other hand, the first panel session explores the impact of human activities on marine and terrestrial ecosystems. It will discuss current challenges and solutions for preserving these vital environments. The second panel session focuses on advancements in food technology, including the role of biochemistry in food innovation and efforts to identify and develop alternative protein sources in the country. It will also cover how technologies shape the future of food security and sustainability. Lastly, the third panel session delves into key topics in public health and biomedical science, specifically the role of microbiology in disease prevention, the impact of Universal Health Care policies, and the work of health systems specialists.
Each year, Leave a Nest Philippines hosts this research conference to provide researchers, professors, students, and faculty members—whether affiliated with an academic or research institution or not—with the chance to share their work and learn alongside their fellow innovators. Accordingly, as part of our efforts to cultivate collaboration among Filipino stakeholders, we are now open for applications from those interested in presenting posters or research splashes at the conference.
