Leave a Nest Malaysia member will be attending The 8th Asian Pacific Phycological Forum, APPF 2017 @ Pullman Hotel Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
One of the core member from Education Division of Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Ms. Marshila Kaha will be presenting her research paper on ‘Induction of Astaxanthin Accumulation using Black Light in Coelastrum sp. and Monoraphidium sp. Isolated from Malaysia’ in the 8th Asian Pacific Phycological Forum APPF 2017. The conference is scheduled to be held from 8 until 13 October 2017 in Kuala Lumpur.
Her team members from Algal Biomass, participants for the TECH PLANTER Demo Day in Malaysia 2016 and TECH PLANTER Agri Grand Prix 2016 also will be presenting at this event. Her registration fee is covered under a special local student award by the organizer.
This conference is held every three years in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of the Asian Pacific Phycological Association (APPA). The APPF has been successfully held in seven countries: Australia, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Bangkok, Thailand, New Zealand, Korea and China. This year, University of Malaya (UM) will be hosting the 8th APPF at Pullman Hotel, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
Her objectives in joining the conference are not only to present and exchange her current research ideas but it also provides her with the platform to build networking opportunities with industry and fellow academicians in the Asia Pacific region based on microalgae research. She will also play her role as a Leave a Nest science bridge communicator.
