Leave a Nest Malaysia and Bandung Institute of Technology Establish Strategic Partnership for Innovation and Research Growth
Leave a Nest Malaysia, a prominent subsidiary of the Japanese company Leave a Nest, specializing in science and technology education, research, and development, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), one of Indonesia's leading institutions for science and technology education. This strategic partnership aims to foster collaboration in academic and research-related development activities between both parties.
The MOU was signed and exchanged in a closed and formal ceremony on 17th July 2024 at Málaga Resto, Kota Bandung, Indonesia. This event was attended by key representatives from both organizations. The agreement outlines several areas of cooperation, including training programs for degree and non-degree, academic exchanges, and supporting the commercialization of R&D products from university researchers and startups.
Dr. Irwan Gumilar, Secretary for Entrepreneurship and Business Incubator at LPIK ITB, representing ITB, shared his thoughts on the collaboration, saying, “Partnering with Leave a Nest Malaysia aligns with our mission to bring innovation and entrepreneurship from higher education to commercialization. This collaboration will provide our students and faculty with unique opportunities to engage in cutting-edge innovation and support commercialization efforts in both Indonesia and Malaysia.”

The event was attended by representatives from both organizations, including Prof. Nunuy Nur Afiah, Dean of FEB UNPAD, Prof. Dr. Tommy Perdana, Director of Innovation and Corporation UNPAD, Dr. Arie Pratama, Manager of Research and Cooperation of FEB UNPAD, Dr. Rita Komaladewi, Head of the Masters of Management Study Program, Dr. Yudi Ahmad Faisal, Chairperson of Lembaga Management FEB, Dr. Alfiah Hasanah from UNPAD, and Mr. Nur Ahmad Zaim Hussin, Director of Leave a Nest Malaysia, Ms. Aisyah Abdul Hamid, and Ms. Nor Faziela Mohamad Amin as the Leave a Nest Malaysia delegation.
