Tech Garage Vol 3: Nurturing Cross-Border Collaborations in Entrepreneurial Ecosystems
Cyberjaya, Selangor – Leave a Nest Malaysia successfully hosted its third Tech Garage Seminar, “Nurturing Cross-Border Collaborations in Entrepreneurial Ecosystems,” on August 23, 2024, at the Centre of Garage Malaysia in Cyberjaya. The event, running from 9 AM to 1 PM, drew over 100 attendees from Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Mr. Abdul Hakim Sahidi, Managing Director of Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., opened the seminar with a welcome address, setting the stage for a day of international collaboration. Mitsubishi Electric followed with a partner presentation, underscoring the importance of corporate-startup synergies in driving innovation.
The core of the event featured dynamic 3-minute pitches from 18 startups across Japan and Malaysia, showcasing a diverse range of cutting-edge technologies and business models. This segment provided valuable exposure for these emerging companies and facilitated potential partnerships.
A highlight of the seminar was the introduction of the LVNS Forest Project in Malaysia by Dr. Yuko Ueno from Leave a Nest Malaysia. This initiative addresses the critical issue of deforestation, demonstrating Leave a Nest's commitment to environmental sustainability. The project brings together innovative partners: ACeT Innovates, contributing seedball technology, and Alphaswift Industries, providing drone solutions for reforestation efforts. Attendees were treated to a live exhibition of the drone and a video presentation of the project in action.
Mr. Nur Ahmad Zaim delivered the closing remarks, wrapping up a day filled with insights and opportunities. The event concluded with a photo session and a networking lunch, allowing attendees to forge connections and discuss potential collaborations.
