Sustainable Food Camp 2025 Champions Innovation and Collaboration for a Better Food Future

The third edition of Sustainable Food Camp (SFC) 2025 took place today at Resorts World Awana, Genting Highlands, bringing together over 191 participants from across Asia and beyond to explore innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing food sustainability challenges.
Held in conjunction with National Earth Day, this year’s theme, “Future Foods: Innovating Today, Sustaining Tomorrow,” emphasized the need to integrate sustainability, health accessibility, and social responsibility into the future of food systems.
SFC2025 featured a dynamic program that included three concurrent panel discussions and open roundtable sessions on key agenda areas: Environmental Improvement, Health Access, and Social Responsibility. Industry experts, startups, academia, and government agencies collaborated to share insights, debate solutions, and co-create actionable projects to tackle issues such as food waste, nutritional health, and community resilience.

Panel Discussions with thought leaders from organizations such as Ajinomoto (Malaysia), Ikeda Tohka Industries, Kikkoman Corporation, ROHTO Pharmaceutical, Padang & Co, Impact Circle, and more.

An engaging project development and pitching session involving 25 cross-disciplinary teams, judged by representatives from main partners and key stakeholders.

An exhibition featuring 35 startups from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, and beyond, showcasing cutting-edge food tech and sustainability innovations.

The signing of three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) by Sustainable Food Asia (SFA) with Resorts World Genting, HaoShi Accelerator, and ZebraFish Capital, reinforcing the importance of international partnerships in advancing food sustainability goals.
The event culminated in an award ceremony, where the Grand Prize of USD10,000 was awarded to Team TripleA for their project “Bring Happiness through Food Creativity and Sustainability.” Five other outstanding teams received special awards sponsored by the event’s main partners.
SFC2025 was co-organized by Sustainable Food Asia (SFA) and Leave a Nest Malaysia (LVNSMY), with key support from partners including Ajinomoto Co., Inc., Ikeda Tohka Industries Co., Ltd., Kikkoman Corporation, and ROHTO Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Genting Group.
As the momentum builds from this year’s success, SFC continues to establish itself as a leading platform for shaping the future of sustainable food systems across the Asia-Pacific region.
