Empowering Industry Through Monozukuri: Insights from KOBASHI Holdings

Cyberjaya, 22nd August 2025 – The KOBASHI Monozukuri: Manufacturing Standard program was successfully held at the Center of Garage Malaysia, bringing together 19 participants from diverse organizations including corporates in the manufacturing sector, startups, and government agencies. The program aimed to introduce the practices of the Monozukuri concept by KOBASHI Holdings, featuring an overview of the framework, successful case studies, and the essential design documentations required in the manufacturing industry.
The program commenced at 10:00 AM with an introduction to KOBASHI Holdings delivered by Ms. Haruka Sakurai, Communicator for KOBASHI Holdings from Leave a Nest Singapore. This was followed by the first session, which explored the framework of the Monozukuri concept, and continued with the next session on the Reality of “Design Documentation” and “Working with Manufacturing Partners.”

The highlight of the event was a special address by Mr. Shijori Kobashi, President and CEO of KOBASHI Holdings, who shared insights on the philosophies underpinning the Monozukuri concept. He emphasized the importance of three guiding principles:
- Genba (現場): Go to the actual place
- Genbutsu (現物): Look at the actual things
- Genjitsu (現実): Understand the actual reality

The program concluded with an engaging discussion led by Ms. Haruka, where participants actively exchanged perspectives and deepened their understanding of Monozukuri practices.
