Leave a Nest, in collaboration with CAST Inc., Kobata Gauge (Kobata Mfg. Co., Ltd.), and Beyond Horizon Technologies Sdn. Bhd., is proud to host TECH GARAGE Seminar Vol. 9 at the Center of Garage Malaysia. Continuing the Tech-Garage series’ mission to bridge technology innovators with industrial stakeholders, this edition highlights the theme “Harnessing Smart Sensors to Enhance Efficiency and Safety.”

Focusing on the real-world applications of Smart Sensor Technology across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Hydrogen, and Water Treatment sectors, the seminar brings together technology providers, industrial service companies, and energy operators for open dialogue, live demonstrations, and collaborative discussions. TECH GARAGE Vol. 9 aims to advance operational efficiency, strengthen safety standards, and drive the next wave of smart-industry transformation.

Speakers

Dr. Kei Nakatsuma — CEO, CAST Inc.
Graduated from the University of Tokyo with a Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology in 2012. The same year, he became an Assistant Professor at Kumamoto University, engaging in research on measurement engineering. In 2015, he led a NEDO project on next-generation AI and robotics, and in 2019 co-founded CAST Inc., a Kumamoto University–certified startup, serving as CEO to commercialize its research achievements.

Mr. Daichi Saito — Director of Business Development, CAST Inc.
He began his career at a leading global electronics manufacturer, where he was responsible for overseas sales in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, including on-site assignments for large-scale infrastructure projects. During this time, he also promoted technological collaborations and new business development with international partners. Later, at a U.S.-based technology startup, he led the launch of AI-based products in the Japanese market. He also worked on digital transformation solutions for the manufacturing industry. In May 2025, he joined CAST Inc. as Director of Business Development, bringing extensive hands-on experience in both global expansion and business development.

Mr. Yukihiro Ishida — Director, Kobata Mfg. Co., Ltd. (Kobata Gauge)
Yukihiro Ishida is a Director at Kobata Mfg. Co., Ltd., a Japanese manufacturer specializing in mechanical pressure gauges and medical instruments. As a certified Clinical Engineer, he has over two decades of experience in the medical field, combining engineering expertise with healthcare innovation. At Kobata Mfg., Ishida leads projects in medical device development and IoT-based monitoring systems, including the global expansion of the company’s IoT solution “Salta,” which aims to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency through connected technology. Leveraging his background in both clinical practice and manufacturing, he plays a central role in promoting technological collaboration and driving international partnerships that bridge Japan’s traditional craftsmanship with digital transformation.

Ts. Mohamad Fadzly Bin Mohamad Khalil — CEO & Founder, Beyond Horizon Technologies Sdn. Bhd.
Ts. Mohamad Fadzly Bin Mohamad Khalil is a visionary engineer and entrepreneur passionate about transforming industrial safety through robotics and remote technologies. A Mechanical Engineering graduate from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS with over 18 years in the oil and gas sector, he founded Beyond Horizon Technologies Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s pioneer in Remote Inspection Technology. Under his leadership, the company leverages drones, robotics, and ROVs to make industrial inspections safer and more efficient. Fadzly holds multiple international certifications in confined space, NDT, and narrow-space drone operations from Switzerland, Japan, and Canada.
