Leave a Nest Malaysia Partners with Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) to Empower Researchers and Foster Global Collaboration
JAKARTA, INDONESIA 17th November 2026 — In a significant move to strengthen international academic and research ties, Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Engineering (Fakultas Teknik) at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). Representative from Leave a Nest Malaysia include Mr. Nur Ahmad Zaim Hussin (Director of Leave a Nest Malaysia) and Dr. Hadi Akbar Dahlan (Assistant Manager of Research Division) while Faculty of Engineering (Fakultas Teknik) at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) is representative by Prof. Dr. Neneng Siti Silfi Ambarwati (Dean of Faculty) and Dr. Ir. Himawan Hadi Sutrisno (Deputy Dean for Student and alumni relations).
The signing ceremony took place under the theme “Empowering Researchers for Global Collaboration.” The partnership aims to build a robust bridge between Malaysian industry-linked innovation ecosystems and Indonesian academic talent. The signing ceremony also includes a sharing by Dr. Hadi Akbar titled “Bringing Your Research to the World : Sharing on Research Commercialization and Global Partnership”. The sharing session is for UNJ faculty members, highlighting personal journeys in research commercialization alongside real-world industrial case studies.

Aside from the sharing session, Leave a Nest Malaysia also introduced CAST Inc. and Beyond Horizon Technologies Sdn. Bhd. to the UNJ audience. The whole event was highly interactive, drawing active participation from around 35 lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering who explored new pathways for their research impact.
Looking Ahead: Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference (HIC) IDN 2026
To further solidify this synergy, the attending faculty members and UNJ were officially invited to join the upcoming Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference (HIC) in Indonesia 2026 as an official University Partner. This will grant UNJ researchers a massive platform to showcase their innovations and collaborate with global corporations, startups, and fellow academics.
With this new milestone, Leave a Nest Malaysia and FT UNJ are set to catalyze impactful research that transcends borders and addresses pressing global challenges.
