Held under the theme “Empowering Every Voice: Women, Rural & Inclusive Communities,” WISE 2026 aims to create a platform where people from different backgrounds can participate meaningfully in innovation and entrepreneurship. The event will bring together women entrepreneurs, startups, researchers, corporations, government agencies, educators, community leaders and ecosystem builders to exchange knowledge, form connections and explore opportunities for collaboration.
WISE 2026 is organised by Leave a Nest Malaysia in partnership with Institut Keusahawanan Negara Berhad (INSKEN) and Cyberview Sdn Bhd, supported by Ibupreneur Malaysia and Persatuan Usahawan Inklusif.
Turning Personal Adversity into Community Empowerment
The keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Billy Tang Chee Seng, DESC, FRSA, Founder and CEO of PWD Smart FarmAbility Sdn. Bhd.
Prof. Dr. Billy Tang is a Malaysian social innovator and disability inclusion advocate who transformed a life-changing spinal cord injury in 2015 into a mission of community empowerment. Through PWD Smart FarmAbility, he champions regenerative entrepreneurship, food security and environmental sustainability through the Soil-U-tion™ Regenerative Ecosystem.
His initiatives empower women, persons with disabilities, senior citizens and underserved communities to become active economic contributors rather than passive beneficiaries. Through practical innovation and community regeneration, he demonstrates that personal circumstances need not limit a person’s ability to participate, contribute and lead.
Guided by the philosophy, “When we create the right conditions, life returns,” Prof. Dr. Billy Tang will share how inclusive and regenerative approaches can create new livelihoods while strengthening communities and protecting the environment. His personal motto, “When There’s Wheel, There’s A Way!”, reflects the resilience and determination behind his work.
Building an Inclusive Future
WISE 2026 will also feature a panel session titled “Building an Inclusive Future: Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Community Impact.”
The panel will bring together four leaders representing entrepreneurship development, university innovation, inclusive business and industry:
- Dr. Maizura Mohamad, Director of Corporate Services at Institut Keusahawanan Negara Berhad (INSKEN)
- Ms. Aida Zunaidi, Chief Executive Officer of Ibupreneur Malaysia
- Ts. Mohd Roydean Osman, Vice President of Innovation and Commercialisation at Taylor’s University
- Captain James Anthony Tan, Chief Visionary Officer of Tenaga Alam Sekitar Kita (TEASK)
Drawing from their respective experiences, the panellists will explore how entrepreneurship programmes, universities, corporations and community organisations can create more accessible opportunities for women, neurodivergent individuals, persons with disabilities, mothers and other underserved communities.
The discussion will also examine how inclusive products and programmes can be designed with communities, how entrepreneurs with different needs can receive more personalised support, and how organisations can turn short-term initiatives into sustainable economic and social impact.
Connecting Ideas with Opportunities
Beyond the keynote address and panel discussion, WISE 2026 will provide several opportunities for participants to present their ideas, build capabilities and connect with potential collaborators.
Programme highlights include:
- Entrepreneur and startup pitching
- Curated business matching
- Product and innovation booths
- Workshops and entrepreneurial development sessions
- Poster presentations
- Strategic networking with industry and ecosystem partners
Through its three pillars of Inspire, Empower and Connect, WISE 2026 seeks to motivate participants through real stories, strengthen their skills and confidence, and connect them with organisations that can support their next stage of growth.
Entrepreneurs and startups will have the opportunity to showcase their products, services and innovations while exploring potential collaborations involving mentorship, market access, business development, pilot projects and strategic partnerships.
WISE 2026 reflects Leave a Nest Malaysia’s commitment to building an innovation ecosystem in which every individual has the opportunity to contribute. By bringing together diverse experiences, capabilities and perspectives, the event aims to encourage practical collaborations that create lasting economic, environmental and community impact.
