Passionate team nanolabLRC won the Grand Winner award of TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in the PHILIPPINES 2019
This is the 3rd year Leave a Nest conducted TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in the PHILIPPINES on 18th May 2019 at QBO Innovation Hub, Makati, Philippines.
12 finalists were chosen out of 44 applications to showcase their core technology, business model and issues that they want to solve in front of the caliber judges from Leave a Nest, Mitsui Chemical Singapore R&D Pte. Ltd., Delightex Pte. Ltd., Brainsparks, DOST-UP Enterprise Center for Technopreneurship, Ideaspace Foundation, Nexus Innovation labs at De La Salle Lipa and QBO Innovation Hub. The finalists were from various backgrounds such as Agri Tech, Bio Tech, Deep Tech and IT.
Invited speaker Prof. Hidelisa Hernandez from The Fruitect Team was the grand winner of Tech Plan Demo Day in the Philippines 2018 shared about her experience and journey on Tech Planter program. She gave an energetic presentation together with encouragement words to the finalists. The Fruitect Team is working on development of fruit coating for shelf life extension of fresh fruits.

This year, we introduced various awards from our partners. Passionate members from team nanolabLRC that working on nanomaterials electrode for electrochemical energy storage applications won Grand Winner prize. The winner received JPY 300,000 cash prize, return airfares and accommodation for 2 team members to join TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in SINGAPORE 2019 in the final regional round. Winner from Singapore round will be invited to join meeting in Tokyo Japan in March 2020.
