[Keynote Speaker Announcement] Yugto 2024: Learn from an Expert Guide to Explore Schools and Careers

We are proud to announce the Keynote Speaker for Yugto 2024: Ms. Deirdre Conde, the co-CEO at Edukasyon.ph, the Philippines’ leading EdTech platform that allows Filipino youth to explore schools, courses, and scholarships while giving them opportunities to empower themselves through holistic learning programs. In 2022, Deirdre was recognized by WISE Qatar as one of 14 emerging leaders in education worldwide. To know more about her, you can read through her profile below:

  • BA Psychology, cum laude, University of the Philippines – Diliman (2014)
  • Special Science Program, Baguio City National High School (2010)

 

Deirdre has been helping locally founded startups grow for the past 9 years. She left her corporate human resources job to start the healthtech company MedGrocer, then joined HR technology firm, STORM. She was a product head at STORM Technologies and was the youngest to join its executive committee. Deirdre then served as head of strategy at Entrego, a logistics technology startup, before she left to start her own company, Liyab — a career development and education startup focused on helping Gen Z Filipinos transition to working life. Since then, she’s been a consultant to education financing startup InvestEd, and to makesense Asia’s project for Reducing Inequalities in Skills and Employment (also called RISE for Youth).

Deirdre continues to be involved in shaping the next generation of Filipinos through her work with Edukasyon.ph, the Philippines’ leading EdTech platform.

 

In Yugto 2024, Deirdre will be sharing some advice on how high school students can explore on their path choices for their transition, and help them decide on which path to take. Attendees can look forward to getting inspired with her passion and valuable insights from her experiences in guiding students through Edukasyon.ph.

Yugto is an initiative by Leave a Nest in the Philippines, designed to assist high school students in making informed decisions about their university degree choices. It aims to provide comprehensive insights into various degree options, especially those less known or popular, to ensure a more informed decision-making for the students and to support degree programs in their sustainability. By enlightening students about the diverse career paths and educational opportunities, Yugto seeks to align students' interests and abilities with their future academic and professional pursuits, thereby enhancing the overall educational and societal landscape.
