Leave a SCENT: Another Implementation of Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Training (SCENT) in 2025

Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Training (SCENT) is a program designed to enable undergraduate and graduate students to develop a Japanese-style approach to research and business. This approach is key to turning groundbreaking ideas into successful startups and encouraging young minds to take the path to entrepreneurship. SCENT motivates learners to see entrepreneurship as a way to make a real impact, offering both practical skills and deep knowledge to help them thrive as innovators. The program not only supports personal growth but also aims to create more job opportunities for S&T graduates by turning ideas into lasting businesses that contribute to society’s development.
In September 2024, SCENT has successfully wrapped up its first implementation with water, energy, and health-related teams that solve pressing issues for the Philippine community, supported by company partners that are eager to guide them on their entrepreneurial journey. Celebrating their significant work and encouraging their potential, there are two (2) teams awarded for their innovations through the Grand Winner Award, a PHP 25,000.00 monetary prize and an invitation to present at the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference in the Philippines 2024, and the Leave a Nest Award, an invitation to present at the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference in the Philippines 2024.

With this successful leg, Leave a Nest Philippines proudly announces another reiteration for 2025 to continuously foster collaboration between industry and academia, bringing together the expertise and resources of companies with the creativity and ingenuity of student innovators.
So to further our cause, we are actively seeking industry partners that are keen on supporting the future of science, technology, and the startup community through providing them with any of the following: mentorship, industry exposure, linkages, incubation, and even financial support opportunities. In return, these industry partners will have the opportunity to engage with projects that align with their strategic priorities while making a significant impact on solving deep tech challenges in the Philippines. Through this collaboration, industry leaders and innovators alike are able to build a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and cutting-edge advancements in the ever-evolving landscape of science and technology.
To express your interest in the program as an industry partner, please contact Mr. Bill Joseph Mercado ([email protected]) or Mr. Jondi Doplayna ([email protected]).
