YUGTO 2026: Expanding Horizons by Empowering the Next Generation of Future Degree Holders

METRO MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Yugto 2026, was held at the Adamson University, AVR OZ Building last January 28, 2026. This milestone marks the third continuous year of Yugto. Originally launched virtually in 2023, now continuing its strong momentum in 2026. Leave a Nest Philippines Inc. gratefully acknowledges Lockheed Martin and Wela School Systems for supporting this platform, serving as a vital bridge for transitioning high school students by providing them awareness and showcase opportunities of the featured degree programs within Adamson’s College of Engineering.

This year’s Yugto 2026 had a total of 180 participants from Toplink Global College, Jose C. Payumo Jr. Memorial High School, and Muntinlupa Science High School. Participants were immersed in the worlds of Industrial Engineering (IE), Electrical Engineering (EE), and Electronics & Communications Engineering (ECE) of Adamson University. The participants were fully immersed in the featured engineering fields of Adamson University and experienced the systems-thinking of Industrial Engineering through line assembly activity and Operations Research (OR) exercises. The Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) session brought technology to life through robotics and circuit creation. Meanwhile, the Electrical Engineering (EE) workshop provided a ‘hair-raising' experience, wherein students engaged with an electromagnetic generator and rotating machine to learn about static electricity, high-voltage physics and conversion of mechanical energy to electricity.

The event opened with a warm welcome from Dr. Antonio P. Doroliat, Dean of Adamson University College of Engineering, who shared his insights into the life of an engineering student in Adamson university. Engr. Ronezza Delos Santos, Managing Director of Leave a Nest Philippines Inc., followed and shared the company’s vision and explained its role in supporting students in each chapter of their lives as they grow into researchers and innovators that can make a positive impact to society. Then followed by Mr. Vincent Carl Ramos, Project Leader for Yugto 2026, who also took the stage to share his personal journey and the core mission of the program in guiding students' college career chapter.

The opening ceremony set an inspiring tone from the partner speakers, first from Mr. Rey Christopher Ambida, Edutech Consultant from Wela School Systems, discussed the “Great Divide” emphasized that students must look beyond and focus on the long-term trajectory of their chosen future paths, and Ms. Abigael Go, Communications Lead from Lockheed Martin, who gave an inspiring message regarding the history of her career journey, emphasizing how she explored her horizons in choosing her own career path.

After the speech from the partners, representatives from the IE, EE, and ECE departments took center stage. Student representatives from each different engineering field was a strategic move to foster a deeper connection between the student participants. This approach allowed attendees to see a relatable perspective of their future college paths, nurturing the knowledge from the representatives that already cultivated the nature of each respective engineering field.

During the 30-minute workshop session, students engaged in hands-on activities ranging from electrostatic generators, robotics, line assembly activity, creation of circuits and many more. Students experienced unique activities from each featured degree courses, exposing each nature of specific engineering fields and made it into a fun and interactive workshop experience during the session.

The event concluded back in the main hall with a comprehensive Scholarship Talk by Ms. Jerjhen Mica F. Salazar, Office for Student Assistance and Scholarships of Adamson University. Explained the Scholarship programs offered in Adamson University from Academic, Athletic, Government Scholarship, and many more. Then officially closed after Mr. Ronrick Arayata, Director of Leave a Nest Philippines Inc., gave his encouraging insights to the students to carry the day's lessons into their future academic careers.
As Yugto continues to grow, it remains a vital platform for transitioning high school students. The program is committed to empowering future-ready college students by raising awareness and building the foundations of their career paths.
