Founder and CEO of Leave a Nest Group, Dr. Yukihiro Maru, to give a talk at World Restorative Innovation Forum on 17 September 2018.
Dr. Yukihiro Maru, founder and CEO of Leave a Nest group will be giving a talk titled “Enabling Deep Tech Scientists To Be Great Restorative Innovators” at the World Restorative Innovation Forum (WRIF) held in Singapore on 17 September 2018. The WRIF is a knowledge sharing platform which aims to bring the general public and elite entrepreneurial business leaders together to discuss and share knowledge on Restorative Innovations through talks. Other keynote speakers include Professor Virginia Cha, chairwoman of WRIF and honorary chairwoman of Right Foundation, and Lee Kwang Boon, Deputy President of the United Nations Association of Singapore.
Dr. Maru who holds a Ph.D. in Agriculture, founded Leave a Nest in 2002 in Japan together with a handful of university and postgraduate students to tackle the issue of unemployment among science graduates as well as the declining interest in science. Armed with the vision of “Advancing Science and Technology for Global Happiness”, Leave a Nest has built a vast collaborative network comprising over 100 companies, 2,000 teachers and 10,000 researchers and aims to solve global issues through science education, resource training and research development projects. By bridging the gap between researchers and companies, Dr. Maru hopes to turn innovative research ideas into reality to bring change to the world.
Restorative innovation refers to an innovation and framework model with the aim of developing strategies, concepts and products that brings about the restoration to health, humanity and the environment.
