Leave a Nest Singapore Managing Director to Join Globalisation Panel at SLINGSHOT Immersion 2025
Singapore, 24 October 2025 — Leave a Nest Singapore Pte. Ltd. is pleased to announce that its Managing Director, Dr. Kihoko Tokue, will join the panel discussion “Globalisation: Singapore as a Launchpad” on Monday, 27 October 2025, at Ascent Bridge+ in Singapore Science Park 1.
The session forms part of the SLINGSHOT Immersion Programme, an invitation-only event jointly organised by Enterprise Singapore and ACE.SG to connect the Top 60 global deep-tech startup finalists—selected from over 150 markets—with Singapore’s innovation ecosystem. The discussion will explore how Singapore enables startups to enter and scale across Southeast Asia by leveraging its networks, resources and collaborative infrastructure.
Joining Dr. Tokue on the panel are Mr. Thaddeus Koh, Co-Founder and Head of Events at e27, and Mr. Vishan Ravi Tejaas, Chief Operating Officer of Transitry, with Ms. Hilda Toh, Deputy Director, Europe & MENA, Global Innovation Network, Enterprise Singapore, serving as moderator.
Strengthening Bridges Between Japan, Singapore and Southeast Asia
Dr. Tokue will share insights from her experience leading Leave a Nest’s cross-border startup initiatives. Since 2019, Leave a Nest has partnered with Enterprise Singapore through the Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) to facilitate two-way collaboration between Japan and Singapore. Through this partnership, the company has supported nearly 50 Singapore-based startups expanding into Japan and 13 Japanese deep-tech startups (will become 18 by adding 5 newly selected startups) entering Singapore and Southeast Asia.
These efforts reflect Leave a Nest’s long-term commitment to building innovation bridges that allow science-driven ventures to access new markets, partners, and problem statements beyond their home countries. As Dr. Tokue notes, “Globalisation isn’t just about crossing borders—it’s about connecting purpose, passion, and technology across ecosystems to tackle challenges collectively.”
Expanding Asia-Pacific Engagement
This year, Dr. Tokue has also participated in several international forums, reinforcing Leave a Nest’s role as a connector, a bridge, of Asia-Pacific innovation communities.
In July 2025, she joined the Nikkei Forum Melbourne 2025, contributing to discussions on “Japan-Australia Partnership: A Renewed Agenda for Changing Times”. Earlier, she spoke at the Nikkei Forum Medini 2025 in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, during the session “Connecting Asia Through Tech Talent Development: A Japan-Malaysia-Singapore Partnership.”
